Comedians in Quarantine: asembl (not so) live #28

Comedians are in quarantine. You are in quarantine. Let's bring you together.

Join us on Wednesday, May 27 at 9 o'clock  (Eastern). It's online since we're prohibited from going out. We call it (not so) live. We've got Jenny Jennings, Caleb Spera & Steph Tolev!

Here's the main page for the series where you can check out upcoming and past shows.

Or follow us on social media for the same:

not so live

Here's how it works:

  • Hit the "Join the interactive show" button or the "Join the livestream on YouTube" button (though that's much less fun) below at 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27 to join. You can RSVP and add to your calendar here or on Facebook.
  • Turn on your microphone and/or camera so we can hear everybody laugh and feel together (also: behave).
  • Our amazing comedians do 10 minute sets each.
  • You laugh a great deal.
  • Donate. We're not putting up a paywall since we want everyone to easily join but we'd appreciate your donating $5 (or more!). Everybody's gigs went poof so a bit of cash would be highly appreciated.

If that doesn't work for some weird reason, our PayPal account is: (

We also accept Venmo (, though they're weird about non-personal payments and so PayPal is better). Our account is @Stevan-Nicholas

Now, the comedians. First up is Jenny Jennings.

Jenny is a stand up comedian from Atlanta, Ga who currently lives in Los Angeles. Jenny has performed for colleges and comedy venues all across the country opening for comedians such as John Heffron and Mark Ellis.

Next, Steph Tolev.

Steph's unique brand of absurd and personal comedy has made her an audience favorite across North America both on stage and on television. As a stand up, Steph has done the  prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal four times, three of which were taped for TV and air on the Comedy Network. Steph is making her American TV debut on Feb 7th on Comedy Central part of Bill Burr’s new show “The Ringers”.

She was recently named one of Vultures “Comics You Should and Will Know” of 2019 and one of Comedy Central’s “Up Next” comics to watch. She also co-wrote and co-stars in the Comedy Central web series ” Steph & Deb” with comedian Deb Digiovanni.   Steph can also be seen in the Amazon show “Please Understand Me” produced by Sarah Silverman and was featured in season two of “Corporate” on Comedy Central.  Steph has won the Canadian Comedy Award for Best Female Stand up and was a finalist in Sirius XM’s next top comic.

And finally, Caleb Synan.

Caleb Synan is one of the hottest young comics in the country. His unique background as a preacher’s kid from a small southern town gives him the ability to relate to any and every crowd -- even though he’s a big old millennial who lives in LA. He's performed on CONAN, Last Comic Standing, Comedy Central, and soon -- for you!

When this is all over, you'll need to go out. And also re-introduce yourself to your friends. asembl makes doing both better. Check it out for all the best things going on and the easiest way to gather a group to do those things with.
